Wine, art, fashion, community, and excellence. The Ebony Wines & spirits Ebony Experience Culture Gallery in Charlotte embodies all things Black Women’s Excellence. Just a short drive over to Mint Hill, Charlotte PinC had the opportunity to attend Charlotte’s first-ever “Culture Gallery.”
Founder and CEO of Ebony Wines, Camillya Masunda, hosted This invite-only immersive art experience, welcoming guests of all ages to celebrate Black culture, art, and of course, her Ebony Wines Brand. For the next few hours, we chatted, viewed various art galleries, and snapped photos of this diverse and inclusive artistic event.
The Ebony Experience Culture Gallery was made possible by local undiscovered artists, and creatives. Many of the beautiful works within this gallery are original, hand-crafted pieces sold directly from the artist. It felt amazing to be in a room with so many innovative African American artists, an opportunity that doesn’t seem to happen enough in and around Charlotte.
Guests enjoyed tasty hors d’oeuvres, danced, and enjoyed the various photo booths within the gallery. The fashion of the evening doubled also as the main event, creating an atmosphere as expressive as you’d imagine for a modern, young, and very African American art showing.
For over a year now, Ebony Wine & Spirits has influenced the wine industry with its implementation of the culture and richness of the African Diaspora. Now, The Ebony Wines & Spirits Ebony Experience Culture Gallery is doing the same thing within the art community, creating a space for marginalized artists to now be the star of the show.
